We are thrilled to welcome Alden friends to another exciting year at Duxbury Student Union. Please take note of the following to ensure a smooth transition:
The DSU Code of Conduct is to be read, signed and adhered to by every child and parent. It ensures all children can enjoy our programs in a safe and supervised environment. Please review, sign and return to DSU no later than September 15, 2012. Download DSU Code of Conduct
Also, please take note of the following to ensure a smooth transition:
Pick up from DSU: Please ensure your child knows his/her own Alden dismissal/DSU pick up arrangements. Write a note if it helps to provide a reminder. Please email admin@duxburystudentunion.com by 8am each day with any changes to your permanent schedule. This includes pick up by another family, walking to the library or taking the bus.
Snacks: DSU provides a snack and drink upon arrival each day. Beyond 3pm, healthy and not so healthy snacks ($1-$3) are available for purchase at the Blender Cafe; however there is no requirement for money each day. Please consider sending in a late afternoon snack with your child, and inform your child (and our staff) of your family’s preference/rules regarding purchases.
Riding DMS/DHS Bus: If you opt for the late bus, please make sure to provide an official Bus Form to Assistant Principal, Mrs. Whittaker, who will inform the bus company. Your child will receive a late bus pass with the bus number adhered to their backpack. No late bus pass, no ride.
Email Communication: The DSU sends out a weekly email via Constant Contact with many important updates. Please check your junk mail and make sure your email filter allows constant contact emails; and contact us if you are not receiving this information. Join our newsletter
