With this spate of glorious weather, it makes me wonder if the deep freeze is behind us. As the true optimist, sunny skies and longer days are on the horizon. Yesterday we celebrated with our Alden friends, with icey pops and a game of flag football. Does it get any better than this in March?

Yes, it does get better for youth... and adults too!
The next two weeks are all about new beginnings for the town of Duxbury, starting with Town Meeting this Saturday. The DSU is hosting an open house for the community 10am-2p.m, so that residents can attend town meeting and know their children (2nd grade and older) are having a blast. It is just $5 per hour per child (or part thereof) with a maximum of $15 per family per hour. High School and Middle school students looking for community service hours are welcome to volunteer by clicking here .
There are also a number of new candidates campaigning for town and school committee appointments. Take advantage of coffee hours, group meetings, media and even Facebook, to get to know town and school committee candidates. It is a critical time and we need the most qualified and collaborative candidates to work together to solve important issues.

Cast your vote to keep the DSU funded by attending the Chillax to the Max at the DSU Adult Night Fundraiser on Saturday, March 20th from 7.30p.m proudly sponsored by Paramount Partners LLC, and Maine Pointe LLC.
Our Annual Adult night, now in its third year, is for any adult who feels the DSU is an important resource for our young people. Tickets are $25, available at the DSU or Depot Street Market or $30 at the door.
Our incredibly successful Harmony For Haiti event continues to bring in critical funds for the people of Haiti with $1500 raised to date. Commemorative t-shirts are now available for just $15 today.
