Dear DSU Members and Friends,

Congratulations! We are excited to report the goal of 100,000 pennies has been acheived for the Jimmy Fund. Thank you to our members, families, friends and community supporters. A huge thank you also to Staff Member, Sandy Burdick, for creating numerous prizes and incentives and a final pool of pennies for our Members to really grasp the magnitude of their efforts. They were mezmerized, digging mountains in the pool, letting it run through their fingers, even sitting in it. Members aged 7-17 were gobsmacked at the experience!

With $1,000 raised, the DSU will receive 125 tickets to the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl in Boston (trip coincides with professional half day). This will be just one of the exciting events planned for June. As the school year comes to a close, the DSU keeps on going with events appealing to youth of all ages.
Membership enrollment continues. Applications can be downloaded from our website at duxburystudentunion.com or picked up at the DSU. High School Seniors, Roman Perry and Nate Files are working with DMS members on a You Tube video documenting everything they love about the DSU. It will be a You Tube debut for many of our members!
I would be remiss if I didn't mention our first ever singer-songwriters circle last Friday night for our high school students. It was the perfect environment to share music, add some harmonizing and get some industry coaching. Many thanks to voice teacher, Collette O'Connor of 3D Guitars in Pembroke and our own in house musician, Tristan Cary for their supportive feedback.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
