Wednesday, January 25th – Wednesday March 7th  - Six Week Knitting Class "DSU Knit Wits" Taught by Kim Felty

Mrs. Felty, a lifelong knitter, offers a six week class on Wednesdays 2.30pm – 3.30pm, teaching the basics of knitting as a wonderful, rewarding past time. Mrs. Felty shares her love of the art with practical and whimsical clothing she has made and introduces new skills on a weekly basis to ensure techniques are mastered.
 
week 1: cast on and knit stitch
week 2: knit stitch and add purl stitch
week 3: knit and purl stitch
week 4: casting off
week 5: yarn overs and increases
week: 6 increases and decreases
 
Mrs. Felty has partnered with the Wool Basket in the Depot Street Marketplace with a beginners package for $15(yarn and needles). Students can choose their own color and are welcome to share colors with others. Size 7 or 8 knitting needles are recommended along with a worsted weight yarn.
The six week class is $30 members, $60 nonmembers. Nonmembers can be dismissed to the DSU at 2pm and enjoy snack and activities until class starts at 2.30pm. A maximum of 8 students is accepted so sign up early. Your payment is your confirmation in the class.
